Focal Point: Centre Pieces

The concept of centrepieces never really struck me till I stayed at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai last September.

They do centrepieces like no other, from the rose petals that line your room floor leading up to one focal point, to the bright flowers & opulent decor at the lobbies and common areas of the hotel.

There is always a point of focus in the room, and even on the floors and ceilings of the hotel. Below are some of the centrepieces and focal points in this 117 year-old hotel including table lamps, chandeliers and floor tiles with the official designs of the hotels (as you find on sarees worn by hotel staff).
