Hands of Hope

I received the plaque above from an aunt during a trying period in life. The words were meant to comfort, but after what I had gone through – it was hard to believe and trust the words in the message.

Strangely, this Sunday’s sermons and readings reflected these feelings that went through even Christ’s mind as he hung on the cross – a feeling of betrayal, abandonment of being forsaken.

But it is the ending to his story, him rising on the third day & his victory over darkness & eventual spread of his teachings that gives one hope I guess.
