Breaking The Pattern

Social distancing boxes

Sign of the times – boxes and lines on the beautiful tiles of the late 19th century Cheong Fatt Tze (Blue) Mansion.

Keep your distance lines

The beautiful geometric patterns of the tiles imported from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England have been marked with black tape to remind visitors to maintain social distancing as they visit the popular Heritage house, hotel and restaurant on Leith Street in Georgetown, Penang.

A sign reminds visitors to check-in, put on their masks, sanitise their hands etc.

Not everyone might agree with me, but I’m glad that these measures are in place. It is indeed a break to our pattern, our norms but for now it’s better to be safe than sorry. It may be a while before things get back to normal but till then – hang in there everyone 💕
